How do I collect my job for output?

We recommend that you use a collection software such as FlightCheck or Collect Pro which will automatically copy your layout, graphics, and font files into an organized set of folders. It will also Zip or Stuff the files for FTP or email.

Another option is to use Apogee Create which preflight's your files using a custom checklist. This checklist looks for common problems such as Low-Res images, RGB colors, Font issues, and about a hundred other things that can cause problems in the production of your job. After your job passes preflight the software converts your job into a High-Res PDF that has all the images and fonts embedded so it is all you need to send. If you are interested in this option please contact your A/E or email us.

Why do colors print differently than they look on screen?

Monitors use a different color space than what is use in printing. Monitor reproduce color using Red,Green, and Blue phosphors which can display a wide range of color, this is known as additive color. Offset printing uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black to reproduce color, known as subtractive color. This color space is much smaller and therefore can not reproduce the same colors.
